Brown carpet

Brown carpets are having a moment. When Mocha Mousse was named as Pantone’s 2025 Colour of the Year, brown saw a huge boost in popularity, both in interiors and in fashion. We said goodbye to cold neutrals like greys and embraced the warmth and softness of teddy bear browns. Need design inspiration? If you’re searching for a carpet colour that hides dirt while also looking luxurious, brown is a very good option! A brown carpet works great as a neutral backdrop. Pair with lighter neutral palettes like cream or beige for a chic yet relaxed feel, or layer with shades of green for an earthy and natural look.

Brown is great for colour drenching – that’s using the same colour across your walls, ceiling, and floor. Because brown is a warm-toned colour, it will feel like you’re inside a cosy cocoon. Just add lots of ambient light and soft furnishings to ramp up the cosiness.
