Are sisal carpets easy to maintain?
Yes, sisal carpets are fairly low maintenance! Regular vacuuming helps to remove dust and debris, which keeps the natural fibres looking fresh, but sisal carpet is absorbent, so cleaning up any spills quickly (and without using lots of liquid) is important. With the right care, natural sisal carpet can remain attractive and durable for many years.
What types of sisal carpets are available?
Sisal carpets are usually available in several different durable weaves, like bouclé, herringbone, basketweave and tiger’s eye (like the Bengal sisal carpet). In terms of colours, neutral sisal carpets in shades like beige, cream and grey are very popular, but some dyed colours are often available too.
