What information do we collect about you and how do we use it?

In order to provide you with the best possible service, we sometimes need to collect information about you. We only ask for information that we have a reason for and will only use this information for the reason it was intended.

Survey information: Details about your overall satisfaction with our products or services, as well as information relating to your purchase.

CCTV footage: Your images when you use our car parks and shops operated for the security of both customers and staff. 

When we collect personal data

We collect information about you in a number of ways, including but not limited to; when you register with us, request a home visit, book appointments, request samples, ordering or reserving products online, sign up to our newsletter, enter competitions or claim discounts. In store, we may collect your information if you request a quote, discount, place an order for products, samples, or services.

  • We may also combine the shopping history of many customers to identify trends and ensure we can keep up with demand or develop new products/services.
  • We may also use your address details to send you direct marketing information by post, telling you about products and services that we think might interest you.
  • Your images captured on our CCTV systems for safety and security when you use our car parks and shops operated for the security of both customers and staff.
Profiling
We use your address for profiling purposes. We use it to decipher the link between website interaction and store visits. The processing may also be used for a more tailored marketing communication to you. You have the option to object to this, and you can email us at [email protected] to opt out of this profiling. This profiling does not have a legal or similarly significant effect on you. 
 
To help us form a better, overall understanding of you as a customer, we may also combine your personal data  with data that we obtain from third parties to whom you have given your consent to pass that data onto us.

Disclosures of your personal data

We sometimes share your personal data with trusted third parties.
 
We provide only the information they need to perform their specific services.
 
They may only use your data for the exact purposes we specify in our contract with them. If we stop using their services, any of your data held by them will either be deleted or anonymised.

We offer Interest Free Credit through our selected partners. If you choose to use this, we need more information in order to process this request and pass to the bank. We don’t store any of this personal information on our systems but do pass it to them for processing. We’ll take you through their terms and conditions.

How long we retain data

Whenever we collect or process your personal data, we’ll only keep it for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

At the end of that retention period, your data will either be deleted completely or anonymised, for example by aggregation with other data so that it can be used in a non-identifiable way for statistical analysis and business planning.

Some examples of customer data retention periods:

Orders: When you place an order, we’ll keep the personal data you give us for ten years so we can comply with our legal and contractual obligations.

Warranties: If your order included a warranty, the associated personal data will be kept until the end of the warranty period or a minimum of ten years.

The right to restrict processing: You have a right to block the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances This means we will still hold your data but not process it. This is a conditional right which may only be exercised when:
