Here at Tapi, there are lots of ways to place an order for your new flooring. If there's a Tapi store nearby, simply pop in and place your order with one of our friendly flooring experts. If you're a little bit further from a store or you don't fancy leaving the comfort of your own home, then you can order with us during a home visit, via a live video chat, or over the trusty old telephone. Can I place an order during lockdown?

Yes, you can! There are lots of ways to place an order during lockdown:

How long does it take from ordering to having my floor installed?

The length of time from placing your order to delivery to the store is based on several factors such as the type of flooring, or whether the colour/pattern/style chosen is in stock with the manufacturer. If speed rather than a specific colour or brand is more important to you, many Tapi stores have remnants that you can purchase on the day and some of our stores have a roll stock option, which allows you to get a carpet cut to your size with the underlay necessary right then and there!

The other hurdle which could potentially hold up your order is fitting. This is booked in advance based on the fitter’s schedule, but during busy times, it can sometimes be a few weeks before your floor can be installed.

Can I get samples sent to my home?

Yes, you can! Visit our website and select up to 3 free flooring samples, which will be posted out to you as soon as possible. These 14x14cm samples should arrive within 3 working days.

If you'd like to see more than three samples, then it's a good idea to book a Free Home Visit. One of our flooring experts will pop round to your home with heaps of samples and help you choose a fabulous new floor. During their visit, you'll be able to compare different colours and styles to see if they match your furniture and décor (however you won't be able to keep these particular samples).

Can I order flooring online or over the phone?

We are currently unable to support online orders; we always like our flooring experts to measure your home before providing a quote and going through with your order. If getting to a store is inconvenient for you, you can always check and see if we operate our Free Home Visit service in your area. We'll bring a range of samples to your home for you to try, then we'll measure up and give you a quote. If you're happy you can place your order on the spot!

Do you have a free measuring and planning service?

Yes, we do! We'd be absolutely delighted to visit you at home and measure your space for free. Alcoves and door recesses can make a difference to the amount of carpet or flooring you need, so once you’ve chosen your new flooring, we’re more than happy to come and measure up accurately. We can then efficiently plan the exact amount of carpet or flooring you'll need before you order. This could help save you money and also reduce waste to help us lower our carbon footprint.

Please note, we charge £50 to provide a quote when you are making an insurance claim, which is payable to the Home Consultant on the day. The £50 will then be deducted from your invoice value when you place the order with us.

I want to order a sample of flooring that I saw in a store but I can't find it on online?

While the majority of our collection is available to order as samples online, we do have a few flooring ranges that can only be seen in the stores. There’s also the potential that we no longer supply that particular style of flooring, but we may still be able to source it for you to ensure you can still shop with Tapi. If you can’t find the flooring you’re looking for on our website, please contact us so we can assist you further.

Can I track my delivery?

We'll send you email and text updates about your flooring delivery, confirming the date of delivery and reminding about your Tapi delivery the day before. We'll also let you know via text if we're running late, and send you an email if we tried to deliver and you were out.

How much does delivery cost?

If you would like us to deliver and fit your flooring, you'll need to purchase our Delivery & Care Package for £39, and the delivery costs are included within this.

The Tapi Delivery & Care Package includes:
- Preparing, packaging and delivering your new flooring.
- Removing a reasonable amount of empty furniture (for larger items, please clarify in store so we can prepare the team) and replacing them afterwards.
- A complimentary tidy-up to ensure you can enjoy your new flooring right away!
- Removing any offcuts leftover from the installation. The fitters will do this on the day of fitting; they’ll return these back to the store and we'll dispose of them for you. If you want to keep these, please make your fitting partner aware.
- 8 weeks of storage from the point of order. 

Delivery of your flooring (without fitting) costs from £25. You're also welcome to collect your order from your nearest Tapi store.

Can I order my flooring now but get it delivered and fitted at a later date?

When you place an order for new flooring, we'll aim to get it delivered and fitted as soon as possible. Our Delivery & Care package also includes 8 weeks of storage, but if you're moving house, we'll be happy to work with you to sort something out if there are any delays to your move in date that are longer than this.

How can I amend my order?

If you want to make changes to your order, please contact the store where your order was placed as soon as possible. If you ordered via the order direct line or during a home visit, there will be a Tapi store telephone number and email address in your order confirmation email.

Whether you can change your order without any charges being incurred depends on a number of different things and at what stage in the order process you want to make a change, so it's best to get in touch with the store straight away.
